I experience days where fear is front and center, driving my thoughts, feelings and actions. Not my best days, time and energy spent worrying is time and energy invested in what I do not want. Those closest to me might ask, “What’s up with you?” Then I catch myself, take a breath and remember that I am free, free to choose. Then I choose love. It is a simple process, but not easy.

“I bask in the lush green, the warmth of the sun, and the blue, blue sky. It’s a golden September day! When I come out of the shady, narrow, tree-lined section, the statue of David and the columns of the Art Gallery stand in their majesty. I look at the reflection of the clouds in the water and notice there is no wind making a ripple on the lake. Even the boats moored in a jagged line, sit quietly.”
(From Judith’s contribution, entitled “What I Saw on Nature Walks around Hoyt Lake”)
All royalties will go towards the betterment and continued success of the Just Buffalo Literary Center.
